A sweep of the lowly Mariners in the "pesto of cities" grants the gNats some separation from the AL bottom dwellers. More later as I am of to enjoy the waning hours of Father's Day by watching some golf.

About this same time last year, the Nat's completed their glorious sweep of the O's in Baltimore, costing Sam Perlozzo his job as manager. Look for an axe to fall soon in Seattle. Would be ironic if the M's name Perlozzo as interim manager, for he is now on their staff. We may not be doing well in the standings, but we are right up there at the top in lost manager heads! Beware all ye head if thou beist swept by the lowly Nats.
And I like to think they played a small part in Willie's early yet poorly handled departure. Wonder if they coast through the rest of the year with Manuel and go for a full timer in the off-season.
Thanks J, I was just posting to claim Willie's hide for the Nats. 1-6 against the Nats in the last 2 weeks of the season did them in. He survives this year's slow start if not for last year's collapse. Agreed, it was handled poorly and is really not justified. The Mets have a few young talented guys, but overall they are old and it's beginning to show. BUT, Seattle canned their GM on Monday!
Ah...Nats create havoc wherever they go. Except it seems the site of this year's GOP convention. Ugh...maybe Lo Duca can find and steal the '24 WS trophy and bring it home.
This just in! John McLaren is out as manager of the Mariners. Ron Gardenhire must have made the Twins watch replays of all 3 games against Seattle, cause the Twins sure snuffed us out big time. Today's final, 9-3 Twins.
Early forties father of 2 girls in DC metro. My wife's the one who taught me to cook so she's the smart one and the beneficiary of my efforts. This really is a blog for dudes with kids and jobs. If you are a stay at home dad, you probably won't dig it. Frankly, I'm guessing you were one of those cats who wore the prosthetic boob thingys filled with your wife's breast milk so you could be closer to your kid. If that's the case I'm sure you are an effing vegan so this ain't the place for you.
