44 Mill does it again(sort of)

44 Mill won it with a HR last night, making that 2 in 2 games. Well, sort of, since his home run Monday night was ruled a double. I have yet to see a replay, and Milledge ended up scoring so it must not have been that controversial. From my seats in section 142, you could clearly see the dent that Milledge's blast left on the metal on top of the wall. Did it hit the plexiglass and bounce back in? Either way, its good to see 44 Mill driving the ball. Dukes is showing flashes as well. It may be a long season in the standings, but it is exciting to watch young players mature into quality major leaguers. Hopefully I won't miss their growth, because I am standing in line for a hot dog.

You won't have to wait that long for yer dog as attendance in August will be about 15K.

The concession lines will improve at Nationals Park long before the Nats improve. Don’t be surprised when Z Man ends up in a Yankees uniform. You must admit though, the hot dogs are much better at Nationals Park than RFK even if the team is not.

Can't tell a difference in the dogs, but must say that I do like the half smokes from Ben's. I think we need to start referring to S-T-B-N-GNP as "The Chili Bowl."

I must contradict my brother (no joke) El Rey. No doubt the Ben's half smoke rocks (wow I actually found something nice to say about STBNGNP), but the regular hot dogs are not as good as RFK's. And for anyone who wants the kosher dog with sauerkraut, the stand around Section 306 never, Ever, EVER has any sauerkraut. Been that way the last 3 games I've been to. That's a performance worthy of our beloved RFK. You can take the team out of RFK, but you can't take the RFK out of the new place. As been pointed out in other posts on this blog, most of the problems at RFK were with the management of the place, not the facility itself. It was a really nice park in its day.

306 wasn't the only place without Kraut. saw a couple of other signs saying that they were out of kraut. They probably didn't want to buy any prior to a 10 day roadie.

They won't trade Zimm to the Yanks as the team from the Bronx has a serviceable denizen of the hot corner.
