It was 20 (minus 17) years ago today

The Nats were in first place and in the middle of that awesome third base line seat bouncing 10 game winning streak. The had a home (RFK) record of 19-9.

I wanted to come over here to whine that I never expected to look back at the "good old days" of crappy, .500-ball RFK. Lo and behold, you've posted just such an entry.

Gahd what a woeful on-the-field experience. Surpassed only by the miserable fan experience in the new park [admittedly cleaner, but since when do 100% increases in cost translate to 100% decreases in service?]

Yep. And only 46 more home games of crappy AA class ball ahead of us. Remember that joy we once felt at just having baseball back? I can't. Let's ship them back to Montreal and use S-T-B-N-GNP to hold ultimate fighting matches between congressional staffers.
