Things are bad when the Boz turns of his Nats. I think the only thing that will be keeping going to the games are Ben's delicious half-smokes and the yummy soft serve ice cream that is served in the little Nats batting helmet.
Sorry to hear of the purported deal for STBNGNP. I was really hoping Sam's Club or BJ's or Costco (but I have a hazy recollection they have one already) would get the naming rights because the place looks like a warehouse. The stadium's 2-tone beige/brown stonework with the blue and red National's lettering and highlighting is almost a dead ringer for a Costco. Bet attendance would jump as thousands mistakenly walk in trying to go shopping.
As an architectural statement, this stadium is major blunder. The stadium was used as an excuse to level half of Anacostia for urban renewal. A remarkable opportunity to build a truly striking struture that would be the defining signature landmark for the revitalized region was frittered away. 611 mill sure don't buy what it used to.
Early forties father of 2 girls in DC metro. My wife's the one who taught me to cook so she's the smart one and the beneficiary of my efforts. This really is a blog for dudes with kids and jobs. If you are a stay at home dad, you probably won't dig it. Frankly, I'm guessing you were one of those cats who wore the prosthetic boob thingys filled with your wife's breast milk so you could be closer to your kid. If that's the case I'm sure you are an effing vegan so this ain't the place for you.
